Why Seamoss Is An Essential Item In Our Kitchen

I have to tell you what happened in the kitchen!

So a couple of Friday’s ago, my housemate-bestie went into the kitchen to make a “dinner snack”...

You know what a dinner snack is! It’s the meal that you have when you don’t feel like cooking dinner! Typically, after 9 pm …lol

After scavenging the pantry, refrigerator, and cabinets she says, “ We don’t ever have two things that match! Kool-Aide. No Sugar! Peanut butter. No jelly! Ham. No burger! Dang!” Name that Movie Quote!

She was absolutely right, because of the Rona, we put off grocery shopping until absolutely necessary. All we had in stock were CARBS AND CHEESE! 

So, we made an impromptu cheese dip platter! Yeap! Our inner fat kids took control and we made a Creamy Cheddar Parmesan Cheese Dip. Alongside warm rosemary baguettes, crispy tortilla chips, savory chicken biscuits, baked spinach tortellini, and almonds.  It was the WORST AMAZINGNESS that had ever happened! With every glorified bite, we told ourselves that this was so bad for us. I do not remember the recipe, but that is a good thing!

CHEESE CREATES MUCUS GUYS! That’s the last thing we need in our bodies during this pandemic! Let’s not forget, because of its high saturated fats and calories, weight gain is also a side effect.

There are some benefits to eating cheese when eaten in moderation. But we ate hecka cheese...and hecka carbs! And ya’ll know what carbs can do! They’ll DRIVE OVER-EATING and INCREASE the RISK OF OBESITY! Which is the last thing I need in my life! 

In the midst of our horribly awesome dinner snack, we were both like “We are so detoxing tomorrow and we seriously need to get our lives together...after we grocery shop!” 

So amongst making several healthier choices, we have added sea moss to our diets!  

Sea moss is also known as Irish Moss. It is such a hidden treasure! It’s literally found in the sea because it is seaweed. It contains 97 of the 102 minerals of which the body is made of. That is just one of its many benefits! Its ability to dissolve fat is the number one reason why I toss it into my smoothies!
