Hey! I’m Carmelita…
but everyone calls me Carm! I’m a California creative Christian lifestyle influencer, dancer, former special educator, and owner/dance instructor of R.O.Y.A.L. Dancers.
I am passionate about empowering women and children to be Resilient, Optimistic, You-nique, Authentic, and Loving, (R.O.Y.A.L.), so that they can show up as their best selves. I believe with my whole heart that being R.O.Y.A.L. will help you live with more joy, peace, and self-confidence.
How do I know this? Because I done been through some stuff ya’ll! Like...some stuff stuff...and being R.O.Y.A.L through it all helped me become stronger and full of more joy, peace, and self-confidence than ever before.
HOW IT ALL STARTED
In 2016, I started a blog called “To Destination Me”. Around that time,
I received a shocking vision that revealed some deep rooted self-esteem issues that I had been living with since childhood. I call that vision “Of Sapphires, Rubies, and Gold. You can read all about it here. “Of Sapphires, Rubies, and Gold inspired me to discover my identity in Christ.
I knew that there were a lot of women like me. Women who wanted to be free from feelings of insecurity and rejection. “To Destination Me” was my way of connecting with them, and a way for me to share the scriptural insights that God used to help me see my worth and value.
THE TRANSFORMATION
In 2019 I discovered who I was in Christ. Through divine insight, I realized, I was R.O.Y.A.L. So I relaunched my blog as Be Royal With Carm.
My mission for Be Royal With Carm is to share all the insights, tips, resources, and experiences that are transforming me into a person who thrives in all the “llys”...physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, financially!
HOW I LIVE IT UP
When I’m not blogging, dancing, teaching, or doing all that entrepreneur stuff, I am living my best life! It doesn’t matter if I’m
at home or out and about town; I will find or create a whole experience. With that said having “me time”, wining, dining, traveling, and discovering local fun things to do is how I enjoy life.

I am proud to say that I was nomiated EGUSD Teacher of the Year for the 2020-2021 school year. The nomination in itself was a win and such an incredible honor to be recognized for my work as a Special Educator.
I am mom to a teenage boy and a little girl who thinks she’s 32!
I am a drill in Sacramento’s leading women’s empowerment group, Hundreds Unit and a member of Ascension Dancer’s sister ministry, Extension.
Dance is my passion!!! I started as a tap dancer at the age of three! My favorite style of dance is contemporary-modern because you have the freedom to do anything and call it dance!
My favorite show is “Secure”! Like, Issa wrote my whole life in every episode!
